on another note I drew something in my downtime at work and i’m pretty happy with it. also brush pen practice.
i also got a scan of this while at work so hopefully a color version soon! also i need to fix aranea’s horns because i drew them wrong and only realized a few minutes ago!

Another update to the stretcheladder!

One thing worth highlighting here: for all people in tiers $50 and higher, I’ll send out a beta version of the next Homestuck mini game update, several days before it shows up on the site. You can help us test it! Aiming to have that done in about a week.

just finished resting up from finals so I’ve been making progress on wonderlandstuck
I added something of a background and also base colors. Whenever I draw like this (less painterly, more cartoonish) I like to fill characters up with one solid color, usually something that really contrasts my background. I do the actual coloration on a layer above it with a clipping mask. This way I make sure that I stay completely within the lines, but more importantly I get a sense of their silhouettes to see how my composition is working so far.
Looks like I’ve still got a lot of anatomy tweaking to do though.

supposed to be writing my paper and I accidentally homestucked because bad procrastination begets good art (or at least good inspiration)
But yea what with all the not-so-subtle Wonderland reference in the comic lately, I couldn’t resist doing a big illustration. Especially after I saw this post, but also because Alice in Wonderland is my most favorite thing ever. Jake as the March Hare is a bit of a stretch, but I’ll take what I can get.
Anyway it was nice to do lines but I am not letting myself touch this again until after I finish my paper. HAHAHA I’M SUCH A TEASE ALWAYS POSTING IN-PROGRESS STUFF BUT NEVER FINISHING ANYTHING…

OTL

I’m tired.

Was idly doodling faces and ended up drawing Homestuck from memory, which was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be.
I read all of Homestuck during spring break (well, everything that was there, so up to end of Act 6 Intermission 2). To be honest, I was really hesitant to start reading because, well, the fandom kinda scared me, but then y’know it’s really bad form to judge something by its fandom so I took the plunge and then fell in love with it because Homestuck in all honesty is really really good and you should go read it if you haven’t done so already. It’s funny and crazy imaginative and the art just gets better and better and ajdfklasfjsdla—
I’m babbling but yea. It’s awesome and I understand why people get so excited and obsessed over it. Anyway, I should really puase on the fanart and get to my painting homework.
