Collection of drawings from when I took Advanced Figure Drawing, one for each week 1-9. These are all the longer poses. Apologies for the half-assed processing of the photos. These are all from my phone, so I can’t be bothered to make them pristine. I’ll get around to taking proper photos and posting them somewhere.
I’ll also post the drawings from the final sometime this weekend.
I found an old xd card the other day with photos from high school. While most of the photos were bad selfies, there was this one of one of my art projects. Yes, it was one of those assignments: this one in particular was about ‘expressive line.’ I want to say I was going for an abstracted garden look. I also want to say this won some award in the school district art show my teacher entered me in. Like, third place or something in some specific category? I never went to the ceremony so who knows.
Honestly, i’m half-cringing and half-marveling at this. It’s not the ‘prettiest’, work I’ve done, but there are some good moments in this. Some parts I’d like to revisit in new pieces. There’s a lot going on in here, and not all of it is bad.
Regardless, I think I’ve come a long way from that exploratory art class in my freshman year of high school.
